Supervisor

Job Summary

The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and training of kitchen staff, in addition to the production, quality assurance, and profitability of all menu items. Reporting directly to the Food Services Manager, the Kitchen Supervisor will assist in the creation of recipes, supervise line cooks to ensure quality control, and ensure compliance to organic standards.

Duties: 

Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, Supervise and check assembly of trays, Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, Prepare food order summaries for chef, Prepare and submit reports, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, Ensure food service and quality control, Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres

We are a Catering Company that serves a large amount of clients and we are looking for experienced people that can handle multiple job functions.

THIS POSITION IS MOSTLY 9AM TO 5PM but does involve weekends and some weekend evenings

We are also looking for experienced people that have experience in production preparation as well.

Must be well versed in preparing foods for a large amount of people at one time, over 250.

Chef: 3 years (Required)
Job Duties:

Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Oversee kitchen operations
Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
